Nashville Namaste Yoga Classes


Vinyasa- In this dynamic, energetic, FUN style of yoga, students move fluidly through postures while connecting their breath to movement. Students build strength, flexibility and balance while moving towards self awareness and empowerment. Plenty of challenges for daily practitioners and cool variations for fresh, new yogis.

 Restorative- This mellow, slow-moving practice uses a variety of props to fully support you.  The longer holds give your body a chance to experience deeper relaxation.

Yin- This is the fundamental practice for slowly and gradually unraveling knots of tightness and tension from the body. Works the ligaments, joints, and fascia, leading to improvement in mobility and flexibility. Gentle yet powerful; Yin is a slow, mindful practice of long-held postures which cultivate energetic balance, physical harmony, and peace of mind.

Hatha- Considered the gentler form of yoga, Hatha is all about the basics.  These slower moving classes may require you to hold each physical pose for a few slow, deep breaths.

Mediation- The goal of this practice is to break through your internal barriers, releasing the untapped energy residing within you and bringing you a higher level of self-awareness.

 Prep for class

Eat something small and light an hour or two before class.  Be sure to stay hydrated. If you are coming to an early morning class, hydrate well the night before.

Wear comfortable clothing.  Moisture wicking fabric is a good option for heated classes.

Women: Yoga shorts or crop pants, yoga bra or sports top, comfortable shirt

Men: Snug-fitting or longer shorts, comfortable shirt

Come with an open mind.  There is no competition, no judgement or comparison to others.  Your yoga practice is your yoga practice.  Focus on your experience and being present in your own body.

Educate yourself on our class offerings.  Take some time to read the descriptions in the services tab and see which class may be right for you.  When you decide on a class, give yourself enough time to check in and settle on your mat before class begins.  Try to arrive 15 minutes before the class is scheduled to begi

For non private sessions: Practice stillness between classes and in class between postures to develop your own mental strength and stillness. Honor the practice and enjoy the quiet time to find connection and recharge for the day ahead
