Hi, my name is Abbey Voss.

I am a Nashville native and a daily yoga practitioner, who is currently serving the Middle Tennessee area. I love teaching, practicing, talking about and reading about yoga. I have had 11 years of experience in yoga and it has had an enormous impact on my life. Sharing this special practice with others is an honor. I love to run, hike, kayak, play in rivers, picnic, anything outdoors. I feel most alive breathing open air. I am a certified Reiki master and have my first degree black belt Tae Kwon Do. When not teaching or taking yoga, I make and sell clay pots. I love to explore any form of creative expression. I volunteer and teach at a mental health center as well. I am CPR certified. I teach yoga at several corporations in Nashville, including Schwann Cosmetics, PICA, Cumberland Properties, Sherlock REI, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, for the Nashville Public Library at the Downtown Church Street Branch and do personal training for HCA. I was also chosen as a co-instructor for International Day of Yoga and we were blessed to have over 400 people come out to practice yoga. I have also been teaching donation based classes for The Oasis Center, an organization driven to building relationships that advance youth well-being, amplify youth voice, and inspire action toward a just community.

I am absolutely grateful to work as a yoga instructor in Music City. I am honored to hold space for people to reconnect, celebrate, heal, or maybe just pause and breathe. Yoga has been life changing for me and it is a joy to share my love of yoga with my community. I believe in continuing to find new ways to share love and light with the world. There is no brighter love and light in Nashville than our precious Bachelorette parties. When you book a Bachelorette Yoga class with Namaste Nashville you and your besties will have a blast. You will connect to your inner power, you will use your breath and movement to find peace and ease. But most importantly, you will offer all of this to someone less fortunate in Nashville. When you take a class with Namaste Nashville you are giving the gift of yoga and meditation to those who may otherwise not make it into a yoga class.

Favorite Quote: “So come, and slowly we will walk through green gardens and marvel at this strange and sweet world” -Sylvia Path.

Favorite Aspects of my job:

Connection with others! Without a doubt. I LOVE how yoga brings people together, sharing space, energy, breath, movement, finding connection in our community, and grounding into and connecting with the Earth. I also enjoy watching students find connection within themselves and their body, mind, and spirit.

Namaste Nashville brings yoga into the community, schools, prisons, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, women’s shelters and retirement homes.

Let’s get to know each other and let me share this journey with you. My students will develop strength, find grounding, feel freedom, flexibility, and discover true clarity in their life. Yoga is a great way to begin an exercise routine. If you feel stuck in your current fitness plan, the fluid, mindful movements of yoga will take you to the next step. But more importantly, yoga will open your mind, expand your heart and clear a path towards true happiness and ease. You deserve joy and peace in your life.
